Clermont County All Breeds Puppy Match

Anabelle blew me away at the show today. Anabelle and Thor are only 3 months old and we had a week to prepare. I chose not to prepare because I didn’t want to drill perfect showmanship into them. Anabelle and Thor both won their classes. Anabelle then went on to win Best of Breed. Her Group win was a shock because the competition was so steep and I didn't think we had a chance in you know where of winning, but win Anabelle did. Now it was on to Best In Show. Annie was so tiny. She was 3x's smaller than the next biggest dog. She gave it her all and didn't win, but to make it as far as she did left me in complete shock. In January she will begin her AKC show career. That will give us plenty of time to get ready. Anabelle is FAYME's newest Star!

Our Halloween Meetup

Zolly, Thor, Anabelle, Summer Raine and I all went to our small dog Meetup Group this morning for their Halloween party. The puppies had a wonderful time playing with all of the other dogs and getting lots of love from the people who attended. I was also surprised that the puppies had no fear of the agility equipment and the girls ran in and out of the tunnel like little pros and climbed up on all the platforms. I put a bear cap on Zolly from another dog's costume and I thought she looked cute. She dressed up as a pig for the costume contest, but Gabe another Frenchie won the contest dressed as a lion.

Camus and Cousteau

I had to share these pictures of Camus and Cousteau together again in sunny California with Phil and Sarah. They are so happy to be reunited. As puppies the were always together and the best of friends. When Cousteau left Camus was lost for weeks mourning the loss of his best friend. Now reunited both dogs couldn't be happier. It is comforting to know that these two wonderful dogs couldn't have found a more loving home than with Sarah and Phil!

Cousteau and Camus in their Halloween Attire

It is almost Halloween and we have the treat of Cousteau and his brother Camus in their Halloween costumes reunited just in time for trick or treating. I am sure they will get lots of goodies in their dogie bags. Who could resist these two amazingly gorgeous guys? I sure couldn't!

Roman Enjoying His Doggie Swim Day

Who says French Bulldogs don't like water? Obviously not Roman. As you can see from the pictures above he has no fear of taking a swim in the pool or going down a slide. FAYME Frenchies are notoriously athletic and Roman is just proving that he is just as tough as his father Alik and his sister LuLu who is famous for enjoying a good dip in the neighbors pond.

A Great Dog Harness

I have never been a big fan of dog harnesses, but after trying every collar on Alik with no success I decided to try a harness. When Anahita and Gavin were down we talked about walking our males and how much pulling they do since they are so strong. Gavin told me they had been using a harness with much better results than a collar so I decided to give one a try. I had a hot pink harness that had only been used a few times with one of my Shar Peis and decided to give it a try on Alik. To my surprise it made a huge difference and once again our daily walking together became harmonious. Obviously I couldn't continue to use a hot pink harness on Alik so I decided to do some research on harnesses. I did not like the construction of the standard harnesses available in the pets stores and knew there had to be a better option. I started researching padded harnesses on Google and ended up finding the EzyDog® Harness & Car Seatbelt. It got great reviews so I decided to give it a try.

I just received it today and had to give it a test drive. The harness was very well constructed and well made. Nothing cheap about this harness. The chest is padded and was very easy to slip on Alik. It also has a car seat attachment which was nice. Alik and I love this harness and recommend it to everyone who wants a comfortable well constructed harness to use on their dogs. Alik took a medium. Here is the website where I purchased mine. http://www.gollygear.com/ezydog.htm.

This harness totally exceeded my expectations!
