Cincinnati Kennel Club Dog Shows

Sunday was a blistering hot day and Ivan was shown at 11:15 am. Too hot for man or beast, but Ivan won his class looking cooler than me. I needed a cool coat.
On Monday Ivan won his class and took Reserve Winners Dog. I showed him both days and he did very well for me. Way to go Ivan!!!

French Bulldog Picnic

On Sunday Donna & Bindi, Tammy & Echo, Deb, Jim and Gabe and Annie and I went on a picnic at Sharon Woods. It was a warm day, but the trails were shaded and there were wonderful creeks for the dogs to cool down in. Everyone had fun going on walks, eating good food, drinking great wine (thanks Donna) and the company was excellent. All the dogs had fun walking and playing together. After the walk we put them up in a pen so we could relax and eat lunch. All the dogs were very good about staying put, except Annie, of course. There was no way she was going to pass up fried chicken for the company of other dogs. Like a little athlete she jumped out of the pen and sat beside Tammy and I at the picnic table and did all she could to get everyone to feed her. She knew how to work the table. After lunch the dogs had a free for all and played wonderfully together. It was sad to leave. A good time was had by all and we decided that we would have to do this more often.

Summer Raine Is Now A Fayme French Bulldog

It is official Fayme's Summer Raine is now off the market. After months of Sherri, Mea and other friends telling me that there was no way Summer could live anywhere else but at Fayme I finally realized that they were right. I absolutely love Summer and could not give her up. She sleeps with her head on my shoulder every night and is always curled up in my lap when I read or watch TV. She had taken over my office as her own and always wants me to spend time there and work. She is so sweet and kind that I realized what a hole in my heart there would be if she was to go. Ivan absolutely loves her and when you see them together you realize that the puppies they will make will be magic. Good French Bulldog females are very hard to find so I would be foolish to let her go after all of the time and training I have put into her. She will continue on with her show career and will be loved by all the dogs at Fame, my friends, neighbors and myself.

Fort St. Clair Kennel Club Dog Show - Saturday

Ivan and Annie had a great time today getting away from the pack and strutting their stuff. Ivan took a second in his class under Mike Rohe's skillful guidance and Annie won her class with me at the other end of the lead. Lots of friends were there showing their dogs and rooting us on. A great time was had by all.
