LuLu Is Not Pregnant! We Are So Disappointed!

Sad news, I took LuLu to the vet today for her x-rays and her womb was empty. No puppies. We think she absorbed them. I was really looking forward to this litter and am disappointed that I won’t get a preview of what Ivan is capable of producing.

Zolly will be bred when she come in heat sometime in the next couple of months. I am not sure at this point who I will choose to breed her to. Zolly is a proven producer of beautiful, healthy puppies so we expect another amazing litter from her.

Today is Annie, Summer and Thor's Birthday

I took Annie and Summer to the park for a long run to celebrate their birthday. After their run Annie crashed on the couch with Ivan. Later in the afternoon they had ice cream and split a peanut butter sandwich with all the other dogs. Annie and Summer had a good day! The girls sent Thor a birthday card and Thor sent the girls a card. I know that Rhonda will take extra special care of Thor today. The Summer Sables were an exceptional litter of puppies and it has been fun watching them grow.

French Bulldogs Love Pools

In the heat of the summer a pool is a necessity for your French Bulldog. They love splashing around in the water together. Annie loves to lay down in the pool and roll then jump in my lap. It is a constant source of entertainment for us all.

Frenchie Photo Shoot at Mansion Hill Studio

On Tuesday we got together to do a photo shoot at Mansion Hill Studio & Gallery because they were looking for dog models and who can resist a Frenchie? We all enjoy getting together and having fun and this was a great excuse to do it. Tammy brought Echo and Mattie, Deb brought Gabe, Donna brought Bindi and I decided to make it easy on myself and only brought Summer.

The dogs were well behaved and each photographed wonderfully. We must have been close to the tail end of the models because I got a slide show today of all the dogs that were photographed. The photos were great, but of course I am partial to our Frenchies. Summer is featured in the 4th and last frame and also in the group shot. Check out Dog Days by clicking on the link below.

After the photo shoot we went to Tammy's and a good time was had by all. Days like this you wish would never end!!!!

Guinness For Stregnth

I couldn't leave my beer for a minute before Summer snuck a taste. Guinness agreed with her and she kept sneaking licks whenever she could. She tried to tempt LuLu, but LuLu looked on and told her she wouldn't touch the stuff because she was pregnant. Ivan took a taste, but it was Summer who decided that she had developed a taste for Irish beer.

Happy 4th Of July

Summer came with me to a 4th of July BBQ. She was very cute and couldn't understand why the host carried around her Chihuahua in a pouch and wouldn't play with her. Even though she had to entertain herself she got along fine and really enjoyed the fireworks. Most were roman candle types that produced beautiful displays. Summer wasn't frightened by the displays or noise at all. When a firework was set off that really intrigued her she stood up on two feet and danced around in delight. Summer loved the fireworks as much as the people around her!
