The dogs were fascinated by the lizard in the window. There are tons in the yard, but I have never seen them on the window screen before. In the summer Zolly thinks she is the great lizard hunter!

Nutritional Benefits of Peas
I make my own wet dog food that I add to my dog's dry dog food. I always add carrots sometimes I add sweet potatoes, squash and a variety of different vegetables. I just got this article from Holistic Select (my dry dog food brand) and I found it very interesting. I will start adding peas regularly to my dog's food now. I hope everyone finds this article of interest!
A relatively new, up and coming ingredient in the pet food industry is the pea. As information is made available, the tiny pea has caught the eye of many vets and animal nutritionists lately. Here are 8 interesting points about what we consider to be the greatest new power ingredient – the humble pea!
1. In North America it is a cool season plant commonly grow in the Northern states and even in Canada.
2. Peas contain higher levels of protein than grains and they are a good source for most essential amino acids. This makes peas an ideal protein especially in conjunction with the protein in meats and meat meals.
3. In addition, peas are gluten free and the carbohydrates are considered to have a low Glycemic Index which makes them ideal.
4. There is very little fat in peas but they do contain amounts of both Omega 6 and Omega 3 fatty acids.
5. Peas contain a relatively high concentration of insoluble fiber which helps to control appetite by making dogs feel full longer.
6. In addition pea fiber helps to maintain adequate stool volume and consistency, reducing the risk of diarrhea or constipation.
7. Peas are also an excellent natural source of B complex vitamins, vitamin C and K, potassium and several trace minerals.
8. Several studies with peas have shown that both dogs and cats like the taste of peas and readily accept it in their diets.

The Central Ohio Kennel Club Show
Today Summer Raine and Ivan went up to Columbus to the Central Ohio Kennel Club Show. There were majors for both males and females and I was proud of the puppies performances. It was Summers first AKC show and she preformed with style and grace under the handling skills of Michael Rohe. Summer took a Second in her class. Michael showed Ivan beautifully and he also came in second. The day was made perfect when my brother and his two daughters came to cheer us on. The girls took the dogs shopping and bought them each a toy and spent as much time as the could with them. It was a great day.
I also want to congratulate Lorie Roden on finishing her fawn Great Dane "Boomer". My Frenchies who know him, love him!!!!

Another New Website
Three different websites in a year and a half!! I hope this is the last one. It was sad to see the last one go, but it could only be updated on a MAC, which I don't have, and when published it created all kinds of problems on Internet Explorer. It was unreliable and I had no control. It doesn't matter how much you like something if it is not dependable. I created this website myself so now I can change and update the information whenever I want. I am so thankful to finally be in control.
I want to thank Sherri Barber for helping me find the right tools to create the new website and for creating new logos for us. Sherri was also very generous with her time photographing all of the dogs. This new website wouldn't have been possible without you!

Summer's First Show
I took Summer to her first Puppy Match yesterday to get her ready for her first AKC show on April 25th. We have been preparing, but when we got into the ring Summer sat down on the table and wouldn't get up. She moved beautifully on the ground, but that didn't save her from coming in second. I was disappointed, because she is used to the table, but it was also funny if you have a sense of humor. Now we know what we need to work on for the Columbus show.
I was happy that Donna Cron's puppy Bindi won Best in Show for the 3-6 month old puppies. She has a real show career ahead of her and is a real show boat. Frenchie puppies don't come much cuter than Bindi!!!

The FAYME French Bulldogs Love Mea!!!
Mea has been coming to visit the FYAME French bulldogs regularly and they have made her their official new best friend. Zolly is Mea's favorite and Zolly kisses Mea every chance she gets. Mea has a way with all the dogs and one day she might end up being the next dog whisperer. Mea makes the dogs smile when she is over and has given them all fun names; Adorable Annie, Sensitive Summer, Irresistible Ivan, Lollipop LuLu, All-Star Alik, Zigzag Zolly and Hero Heathcliff. Even though the dogs are sad to see Mea go they know she will come back when she can.
Louisville Show
Annie did great at the show. She was 7 months old. On Thursday she came in second out of six. On Sunday she was being a very naughty girl, but won her class anyway. When we were leaving the ring after she was rotten once again in the Winners Bitch ring the judge pulled me aside to tell me how nice Anabelle was and that she just needed some work. Two compliments from two judges on Annie at two big shows. WOW!!! Hopefully with some work she will do much better in her upcoming shows.
Ivan wasn't quite so lucky. He was going though a growth spurt and really down on weight which made his body look really long. Not something the judges like. He took two seconds and a third. Oh well I have been working on getting the weight on him for his next show. I was really disappointed in his results after his wins in Indy.
The highlight on the show was meeting Marcelo Cicuta and CH A'vigdors Couodatair Du Roi Tuunrat's El Chi. What a fantastic A'vigdors dog. He took two Best of Breeds and two Group placements. We congratulate Marcelo and El Che and hope Ivan has even half the success of El Che!!!!
