Jill With Scarlett, Ivan and Summer
We always encourage people to come over for a visit. Jill and Mike came up from Indy and were a big hit with the dogs. Scarlett attached herself to Jill immediately while Ivan wanted to smother her with kisses. My dogs were very taken with them both. There is never a dull moment here!

Bee Season
Bee season is upon us. I found a bee clamped on Zolly foot Friday evening. Today I noticed that Zelda's eye was swollen while she watched me cut down honeysuckle in the backyard. If you find the bee on your dog make sure you get the stinger out and give them a Benedryl immediately. If their faces are swollen for no apparent reason and you are outside give them a Benedryl immediately. If the swelling does not go down give them another Benedryl in 6-12 hours. If you have larger breed dogs they might need to double the dose. No need to rush the to the vet or the emergency vet clinic a simple Benedryl will resolve the problem. Always keep some on hand. You can consult your vet, but they well tell you the same thing. The faster you get an antihistamine into your dog's system the faster they will recover.
